Getting Started with Learn Stage
Welcome to Learn Stage — the online platform where students from Excel High School and Northgate Academy access their courses, track progress, and connect with support. Whether you’re a new student or returning for another term, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know to log in and start learning.
What Is Learn Stage?
Learn Stage is where you’ll access everything related to your online education — your courses, grades, and school information — all in one place. It combines two systems into one:
- Student Information System (SIS): This is where you’ll find details about your enrollment, programs, and account information.
- Learning Management System (LMS): This is where you’ll go to complete your courses and track your progress.
If you’ve attended another school that used tools like Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, Canvas, or Moodle, Learn Stage works in a similar way — it just brings all those features together in one platform. That means you don’t have to jump between multiple systems to see your classes, check your grades, or reach out for help.
Step 1: Log in to Your School’s Learn Stage Portal
Choose the correct link for your school:
- Excel High School (EHS): https://live.learnstage.com/exceled/excelhighschool/login
- Northgate Academy (NGA): https://live.learnstage.com/exceled/northgateacademy/login
Once you’re there, click “Student Login.”
⚠️ Make sure you select “Student Login.” Using the Admin or Instructor login options can cause access issues.
Step 2: Explore the Dashboard
When you first log in, you’ll land in your Student Info (SIS) dashboard. Here you can see:
- Your current program
- Past programs (if you’ve taken any)
- Future programs you can enroll in
- Billing, account details, and school information
This section is where you’ll manage your profile — but your actual courses are found in the classroom (LMS).
Step 3: Access Your Courses
You can reach your courses two ways:
Option 1: From the Dashboard
Students can click “Enrollments” from the menu on the left. From there, they can either click the program name or select “Course Details.” This expands the program view, showing more information — including a “Go to Courses” button that opens the classroom.
Please note: This option is only available when you’re logged in to the student portal. If you’ve logged in through the parent or family portal, you won’t see any course access options.
Option 2: From the “My Account” Menu
- At the top of your screen, find the My Account button.
- Hover (or tap, on mobile) to open the dropdown menu.
- Choose between:
- Account Info (SIS) – view your student records
- Courses (LMS) – go directly to your classroom
- You can move between SIS and LMS anytime.
