About Excel High School
Excel High School delivers an accredited, standards-aligned virtual curriculum for grades 6–12. Core studies in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies are complemented by electives, world languages, and technology courses. Instruction is self-paced and structured, with clear objectives, assessments, and progress monitoring in the student portal.
Diploma pathways adhere to Minnesota Department of Education graduation standards: a minimum 21.5 credits, with an available 24-credit college-preparatory option. Academic and success coaches provide guidance, goal setting, and help navigating coursework.

Adult Learners (18+)
Online diploma track internally referred to as “Fast Track.” Students complete only the remaining credits required to graduate; graduates earn the same Excel High School diploma (not labeled “adult”)

High School (ages 14–18)
Grades 9–12 with Standard, Honors, and Advanced Placement (AP) options, plus electives and world languages; self-paced with structured milestones.

Middle School (ages 11–13)
Standard curriculum for grades 6–8, focused on foundational skills in core subjects with select electives; fully online and self-paced
